Dr. Gopal Krishna Sarkar is a senior advocate of the Calcutta High Court and Supreme Court with extensive experience in law, cyber security, public service, and politics. A Ph.D. holder in Cyber Security and an LL.M. graduate in Criminology & Penology, he has been actively associated with the BJP and RSS for over 41 years, holding several key organizational positions at district, state, and national levels. He has contributed significantly to social causes, particularly in supporting chit fund victims across West Bengal, and has led numerous public movements and awareness campaigns.
As a resident of Baranagar with strong grassroots connections and involvement in various social, labor, and community organizations, he has sought consideration as the BJP candidate for the 113-Baranagar Assembly Constituency in the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Election, emphasizing his long-standing dedication to the party, public service, and local development.
